Controversial Nigerian rapper, Speed Darlington, has made headlines again after sharing a video where he proudly says he now prefers dating New York women instead of Nigerian ladies.

This comes shortly after the artist was declared wanted by NAPTIP (National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons) over allegations of being involved with a minor.

Following the announcement, Speed Darlington quickly left Nigeria and returned to the United States.

In a new video that surfaced online, the rapper shared his reasons for abandoning Lagos girls for women in New York.

According to him, New York women are more focused on love, while Nigerian girls mostly care about money.

“I left Lagos girls for New York girls. I thought they’d be better. These people here show love. Our own people back home are just about ‘give me money, give me money,’” he said.

His comments sparked mixed reactions online:

  • @LifeOfALoneR40 said: “He said it all. Nigerian girls are only there for the money.”
  • @tsetseSBM wrote: “Speed Darlington never fails to entertain. But moving to New York doesn’t change the fact that you were declared wanted. You’ll still have to face it when you return to Nigeria.”
  • @donaldson20220 shared: “Any Igbo person supporting him is not a true Igbo. We speak against such acts which are more common in the North. Nothing funny here.”
  • @PraiseOluw97152 added: “This guy is more useless than Portable.”

While Speed Darlington continues to live it up in the US, the allegations against him remain unresolved. The public is now waiting to see how the legal case unfolds if he returns to Nigeria.
