Garrett Gee, an influencer and father from the well-known “Bucket List Family,” shocked his followers by throwing his 7-year-old son, Calihan, off a cliff at Lake Powell, Colorado.

The act, captured in a now-viral Instagram video, was intended to help his son conquer his fears. The video also included a disclaimer that it was not designed as parenting advice.

The clip shows Calihan screaming as his father tosses him off the cliff, but he soon surfaces in the water smiling. Garrett, who jumped in after his son, clarified that Calihan had the choice to climb down, jump on his own, or be thrown.
