A suspected thief surprised many when he turned to gospel worship and begged Jesus for mercy after police officers arrived to arrest him.

The unusual moment was captured in a viral video shared on TikTok by user @globalstar_. In the clip, the man is seen sitting on the ground with his hands over his chest, looking emotional and worshipful.

According to the video caption, “Thief caught, moment after the police arrived, he began to sing gospel songs,” 

The man started singing just as the police showed up. He was heard singing, “Daddy, save my soul. Jesus, send mercy to me,” along with other heartfelt words.
