46-Year-Old Woman Who Threatened To Po!son Yoruba, Igbo On TikTok Finally Arrested By Canadian Police
Canadian law enforcement has apprehended a lady suspected of making discriminatory online threats against specific individuals within Nigeria’s overseas community.

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) reported the case to Canadian authorities, who are currently probing the possible hate-fueled offence.
As per law enforcement accounts, the suspect started posting the contentious online content around August 25. On August 28, the police were alerted about this threatening activity and swiftly initiated a detailed investigation.

Amaka Sonnberger, 46, was taken into custody by police on September 1, 2024, tied to the online threats she allegedly made.
Sonnberger is facing charges of making threats, a grave violation of Canadian law. She is slated to present herself in a Toronto courtroom on Monday to confront the charges against her.
The Toronto Police Service has corroborated that this case is considered a possible hate crime.
