In a shocking discovery, a man from Birmingham in United Kingdom has become the second man in history to have three p£nises, called Triphallia.
The 78-year-old man donated his body to the University of Birmingham Medical School following his death, where students made the remarkable discovery during the dissection process.
Meanwhile, throughout his life, he was not in the know that he had three penises.
Shedding light into this shocking occurence, are the doctors at the medical school revealed that one in every five or six million people are born with more than one penis, with there being just over 100 cases of diphallia – having two p£nises – recorded across the world.
The now deceased 78-year-old man is just the second person in history on record to have triphallia – three p£nises.
It was discovered by doctors that only one of the three penises was functional, however, the remaining two were attached to the skin of the scrotal sac, thereby explaining why the individual may not have been aware of his extraordinary condition.
The individual was approximately 6ft tall, of a medium to large stature and, upon initial examination, appeared to have normal genitalia.
However, dissection revealed “two small supernumerary penises.”
The primary and secondary penises shared a urethra, which “coursed through the secondary p£nis prior to its passage through the primary p£nis.”
Researchers at the Journal of Medical Case Reports wrote this month: “These penile morphological abnormalities may not have been identified during his life.
“However, he may have lived with functional deficits due to the abnormal anatomy of the region, which may include urinary tract infections, erectile dysfunction or fertility issues.”
They also pointed out that the only other documented instance of triphallia was in 2020, when a three-month-old unidentified infant was identified to have the condition.
They also noted that polyphallia, characterized by multiple penises, is likely to be more prevalent than previously believed.
