Passport Fee Hike: Tinubu’s Government Lacks Empathy For Nigerians

President Tinubu has receieved backlashes from Nigerians both home and abroad after the news of the intended passport fee hike come September, 2024.

Nigerians have reacted on social media to the latest rise in passport prices.

The Nigeria Immigration Service issued a statement on Wednesday night, August 21, announcing an increase in the price of passport fees.

According to the statement, a 32-page passport booklet with a 5-year validity, which was previously charged at N35,000.00, will now be N50,000.00; and a 64-page passport booklet with a 10-year validity, which was N70,000.00, will be N100,000.00.

According to the announcement, costs in Diaspora remain constant.
