A police officer shot de@d a 17-year-old boy over fireworks in Delta State.

A tragic incident unfolded in the Ozoro community, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, as a police officer reportedly shot and killed a 17-year-old boy named Emeka Odogwu on the night of December 8.

The dispute that led to the dire event was over the use of fireworks.

The young boy tried to flee the scene when the cop, in a rash act, discharged his weapon, taking Emeka’s life.

The incident has been validated by the command’s spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, who also confirmed the arrest and detention of the implicated officer.
