Samsung Galaxy S25 To Include Life-Saving Car Crash Detection Feature
The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is equipped with a car crash detection sensor. A sensor is designed to assist you in the event of an automobile accident or collision. This feature is accessible on Pixel phones but has not been observed on other premium Android devices.
According to reports verified by AndroidAuthority, there is a car crash detection sensor in the Galaxy S25 series that leaked data can access. The sensor has been implemented in previous flagships but has yet to run through software modifications.
Samsung’s flagship smartphone line continues to incorporate a car accident sensor. This is the same vehicle crash sensor observed on the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and potentially the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 devices.
It is purported that the Samsung Car Crash Detect Wakeup sensor is a composite sensor. Being a virtual sensor, it processes and merges data from underlying physical sensors. The “MoccaMobile” on one of the UI 5.1.1s contained the code necessary to initiate and terminate the car accident sensor.
As the feature remained hidden in previous models, there’s hope that Samsung will eventually bring it to Galaxies with the One UI 7.1 update. However, we need to wait till the official launch and our hands on to validate the feature’s existence.
Google equipped Pixel phones with a scattering of life-saving features. Car Crash Detection also remains an underrated feature, but it would become an advantage if your car gets accidentally damaged by informing your family.
