Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite will power the Galaxy S25 series globally. The new chipset introduces major upgrades in terms of performance, graphics, and artificial intelligence.
The cherry on top is that Samsung is sourcing an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite, with more power, for the entire Galaxy S25 lineup, making it unique compared to other Android flagships.
Recently, a Galaxy S25 Ultra surfaced on Geekbench with an impressive performance of around 3200 points in single-core and 10000 points in multi-core performance tests.

Software
Talks about One UI 8 have started even when Samsung’s yet to rollout the One UI 7. Recent inputs suggest that the One UI 7.1 doesn’t exist as the S25 series reportedly boots the One UI 7.0.
Leaked Samsung app code also skipped the One UI 7.1, which was long-awaited from Galaxy users. The incremental SW may be offered later as part of feature drop or may join the S25 Slim launch.
The Korean tech giant will offer support for seven years of Android and security updates. Longer software support will allow you to continue using the phone for years without feature compromise.
Pre-Order, Release Date and Price
Samsung is letting you pre-reserve the next Galaxy to be eligible for a free $50 Samsung Credit. You can use it to purchase accessories or wearables at the time of pre-ordering the Galaxy S25 series.
The new flagships are set to launch on January 22 in San Jose, California. Samsung may start delivering the pre-order units by the first week of the next month.
There are mixed reports on the Galaxy S25 series price freeze and hike. Galaxy S25 Plus with 12Gb RAM and 256Gb memory will likely cost $999 and $1119, respectively in the US.
