Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy AI Subscription Club, offering more affordable access to the new S25 series.
The service will begin January 24th in South Korea for Galaxy S25 series purchasers.
This expansion of Samsung’s subscription service to mobile devices in South Korea is anticipated to positively impact initial sales by providing consumers with attractive benefits.
The Galaxy AI Subscription Club provides members with several key advantages:
- A residual value guarantee of up to 50% upon device return.
- Inclusion of Samsung Care+ Smartphone Damage+ service.
- Exclusive discounts on mobile accessories.
Samsung clarifies that the “up to 50% residual value guarantee” allows members to return their device after 12 months for 50% of its original Samsung.com price or after 24 months for 40% of the original price.
The program significantly eases the return conditions, with:
- Devices with scratches can also be returned.
- There are no conditions for repurchasing a new device after return.
- Ineligible if power failure, exterior damage, or account deleted.
This would allow customers to purchase the latest Galaxy smartphone for half the price.
The New Galaxy AI Subscription Club provides 12-month and 24-month subscription options, each with a monthly fee of 5,900 KRW (approximately $4.06).
Samsung Care+ Smartphone Damage+ provides benefits including:
- Damage compensation during the subscription period
- Immediate repair discounts
- On-site repair service
- Battery replacement service
Furthermore, subscribers will enjoy discounted pricing on authorized mobile accessories, including protective cases and power banks.
This compelling value proposition positions the AI Subscription Club for significant market expansion beyond Samsung’s traditional customer base.
