Ondo State: OAU Student’s Murder: Adedoyin’s Appeal Dismissed, De@th Sentence Stands
A Court of Appeal, Akure Division, sitting in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, decided on Thursday against Dr. Ramon Adedoyin, the founder of Oduduwa University in Ile-Ife, Osun State, who was sentenced to death by hanging in May 2023 along with two others.
The appellate court denied the case for lack of merit, upholding the decision of Justice Oyebola Ojo of the Osun State High Court, who convicted Adedoyin and two others guilty of murder.
Adedoyin was arrested in 2021 after the death of Adegoke Timothy, a postgraduate student at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, who was killed at Adedoyin’s hotel, the Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife.
