Famed Yoruba Nollywood actor Babatunde Tayo, globally recognized as Baba Tee, has retracted his previous denial, confessing to a brief sexual interaction with Dara, the spouse of comedian and content creator Ganiyu Morufu, also known as Lande.
Baba Tee made this startling admission during a live exchange with socialite Esabod and other TikTokers this past Sunday, debunking his prior refutation of such an encounter and challenging Lande to provide substantiation of his accusations or face possible legal repercussions.
Lande had previously alleged in an interview that his wife left him after numerous affairs with 21 men within the entertainment community, including Baba Tee.
Baba Tee initially had denied any affair with Lande’s wife, arguing that their interaction was limited to a single meeting last year through the actress Marigold.
Baba Tee contended that he was unaware of Dara’s marital status until overhearing a discussion between her and Marigold.
Nonetheless, Baba Tee later confessed to having a fleeting sexual relationship with Dara, attributing the encounter to inebriation during a game of ‘Truth or Dare’ with Dara and Marygold.
Following Baba Tee’s admission, Esabod suggested that he formally apologize to Lande for his perceived transgression and previous denial of the event.
Responding promptly, Baba Tee expressed his regret in a brief Facebook post on Monday, conveying his remorse, stating, “I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother, Lande.”
Reports suggest that Marigold, who also manages Lande, may have captured the incident between Baba Tee and Dara on film. However, it remains unclear if any such footage will ever be presented in confirmation of Lande’s claims.
It is not uncommon for celebrities and public figures to face allegations of infidelity, especially within the entertainment industry. With rumours and gossip rampant, it can be challenging for individuals to discern the truth from fiction.
In this instance, Baba Tee’s initial denial may have resulted from wanting to protect his reputation and avoid damaging his career.
