Samsung To Stun Galaxy Watch Users With ONE UI 8- Here’s The Surprise!

Galaxy Watch users may be in for an unexpected treat with the upcoming update. Instead of the conventional upgrade to the One UI 7 Watch, Samsung is set to bypass it and release the One UI 8 Watch directly for the Galaxy Watch.

This would mark the first time the company omitted a version for its smartwatches.

Presently, Galaxy Watches operate on One UI 6 Watch software, which is built on Wear OS 5. The next intended update was supposed to be One UI 7, based on Wear OS 5.1.

However, information from X user IposDev indicates that Samsung will jump straight to One UI 8.

The primary reason for skipping One UI 7 Watch is Samsung’s goal of aligning its smartwatch software with its smartphone software. One UI 8, which is based on Android 16, is anticipated to be released for Samsung phones in the upcoming months.

Samsung may commence beta testing of One UI 8 as soon as next month, with a complete launch targeted for August or September. By skipping One UI 7, Samsung ensures that the software on its Galaxy Watches and Galaxy Phones remains synchronized.

If you’ve been anticipating Wear OS 5.1 (built on Android 15), you might need to wait longer. The update could be postponed until One UI 8 Watch is ready, which will likely be launched alongside the Galaxy Watch 8 series in July.

One UI 8 is projected to be based on Wear OS 6, which will be integrated with Android 16. In conjunction with the software update, Samsung is also expected to unveil a new design and enhanced health features for the Galaxy Watch, making the wait even more thrilling for users.
