Akwa Ibom Endorses Tinubu, and Umo Eno for 2027 Elections – Godswill Akpabio

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has said that the people of Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District and the entire state have thrown their support behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, himself, and the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, for the 2027 general elections.

Akpabio made this known during the second phase of his constituency empowerment programme, which took place in the Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District. The event saw over 3,000 beneficiaries receive various items and support, with several completed projects also being commissioned.

While addressing the crowd, Akpabio praised Governor Umo Eno for his peaceful leadership style and commitment to unity.

“Governor Umo Eno is a peaceful man and a true servant of God. His words match his actions. That’s why there’s peace in Akwa Ibom. He has united us, and that has brought about the progress we see in the state,” Akpabio said.

He also said President Tinubu is pleased with the peaceful environment in the state and the strong cooperation between his office as Senate President and the state government.

The Senate President explained that this unity and peace have attracted development to Akwa Ibom. He then asked the crowd to voice their support for President Tinubu, himself, and Governor Umo Eno as the sole candidates for the 2027 elections. The crowd responded with loud approval.

According to a statement from Akpabio’s media office, the endorsement from the people was loud and clear.

As part of the empowerment initiative, Akpabio distributed several items including minibuses, cars, tricycles, refrigerators, sewing machines, and cash grants worth over ₦2 billion.

Scholarships were also awarded to students, with beneficiaries coming not just from his own senatorial zone but from the other two senatorial districts in the state as well.
