Nigerian Man Dies in Imo State After Torture Over Alleged Power Bank Theft
A tragic incident has shaken social media after a young Nigerian man reportedly died in Owuelu Uratta, Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State. The 22-year-old victim was allegedly tortured over accusations of stealing a power bank.

The heartbreaking event came to light through a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @ChuksEricE.
In the disturbing clip, the young man is seen tied to a wall while a man in a white shirt repeatedly beats him. Despite pleading for mercy and apologizing during the assault, the torture went on for several minutes.
The video has since gone viral, sparking anger and calls for justice from Nigerians online. Many are expressing shock that such brutality could occur over something as minor as a power bank.
According to the caption and reactions to the video, the young man reportedly died from the injuries sustained during the beating.
