JUST IN: Erik ten Hag Appointed as Bayer Leverkusen Head Coach
German football club Bayer 04 Leverkusen has officially named Erik ten Hag as their new head coach. The Dutch manager has signed a contract that will keep him at the Bundesliga club until June 2027.

The announcement was made on Monday through the club’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. The post read, “Let’s get started! Erik ten Hag signs with Bayer 04 as our new head coach until 2027!”, welcoming the 54-year-old to his new role.
Erik ten Hag takes over from former coach Xabi Alonso, who enjoyed a successful spell at the club, including domestic achievements. Ten Hag was seen as the top choice to fill the position after Alonso’s departure.
