Gunmen Attack Federal Polytechnic Oko, Kill 7, Kidnap 2 Lecturers
Gunmen have reportedly stormed the Federal Polytechnic Oko in Anambra State, killing at least seven people and abducting two lecturers during a violent attack.

The shocking incident was first reported in a viral post on X (formerly known as Twitter), where disturbing videos showing the aftermath were also shared. In the clips, the lifeless bodies of the victims were seen lying on the ground, sparking widespread panic and outrage online.
According to the eyewitness who shared the post, the attackers not only shot and killed several people but also took two lecturers from the institution.
At the time of publishing this report, neither the school authorities nor the Anambra State Government had released any official statement on the incident. The state police command has also remained silent so far.
The news of the Federal Polytechnic Oko attack has generated intense reactions on social media, with many Nigerians expressing deep concern over the worsening security situation in the country.

A user, @Officialvickmos, commented, “When herdsmen attack now. These boys won’t be available. So shameless.”
Another, @selfmadesage, said, “I heard who say men no dey….. looks like cult-related matter.”
@CharlieSteve95 added, “To think that they have a police station in Oko along the same road this incident occurred, it’s a shame.”
@DrSippy1 expressed concern about the possibility of cult violence, saying, “Is this a cult war or something else is going on that we don’t know. The police anti-cultism unit can do better. Fish these killers out and send them back to their maker.”
@mcfysh_official wrote, “What has this country turned into? Bloodshed from left to right. What’s the value of human lives in this country? It’s too much, God.”
