Fulani Herdsmen Came to Our Crib at Gunpoint — Man Cries Out Over Insecurity in Enugu State
A Nigerian man has raised serious concerns about growing insecurity in Enugu State, following a frightening encounter with suspected Fulani herdsmen in Enugu State.
He claimed they robbed him and others in broad daylight at gunpoint.
The man, known as @carlo_di_wuu on X (formerly Twitter), shared his experience online, calling on Governor Peter Mbah to take urgent action against the frequent attacks by suspected herdsmen across the state.
According to him, the armed men stormed his home at Heliu Estate, Enugu, and stole their belongings while pointing guns at them. He described the attackers as a group of 10 to 15 men.
“Our lives would have been history if we resisted,” he wrote, adding that the situation in Enugu has become terrifying and unpredictable. He expressed worry that no one seems safe anymore, not even in their own homes.
The man also mentioned a previous incident that happened just a week earlier in the same area, where a young boy was killed and his Toyota Venza stolen near Bricks Estate.
He further expressed frustration with the authorities, hinting that he might have to protect himself if nothing is done soon.
“I’ll have to defend myself, and nobody should question me. If this continues, the next group of attackers won’t leave alive. I swear on my dad’s grave,” he warned.
His post quickly gained attention, with many Nigerians joining the conversation to share their own fears and similar experiences in the state.
