Today, February 24, at approximately 02:45 hrs., police officers from the Rivers State Command deployed to INEC Headquarters Aba Road, while conducting a stop and search, arrested one Hon. Chinyere Igwe, a member of the House of Representatives representing Port Harcourt II Federal Constituency, along with $498,100 USD hidden in a bag in his car.
According to a statement made by SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the state police command’s spokesman, a list for distributing the money was also discovered from the lawmaker.
