The all eyez on me rapper, Tupac Shakur, later sued the Oakland Police Department and settled the case. Jada, who also experiences hair loss, believes Tupac kept his condition a secret due to societal pressures.
She further narrated that during that era, he wouldn’t openly discuss it. The actress mentioned that if Tupac were alive today, he would likely speak out about his condition.
Jada met Tupac in high school when they both attended the Baltimore School for the Arts. While she considers him her soulmate, she clarified that their connection was purely platonic as they lacked romantic chemistry.
Jada hopes that by discussing her own experiences with alopecia, it will help reduce the stigma and shame associated with the condition.
