Baby Born With 26 Fingers And Toes Revered As A Reincarnation Of Hindu goddess.
The reincarnation of a Hindu goddess has been suggested for a baby born in India with 26 fingers and toes.
The little girl, who was born in a hospital in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, in northern India, has six toes on each foot and seven fingers on each hand.
Her family, who are reportedly deeply rooted in their spiritual beliefs, are reportedly delighted and have publicly referred to her as the reborn version of Dholagarh Devi, a well-known local deity whose temple is close to where the girl was born, even though doctors have described her condition as a genetic anomaly known as polydactyly.
The deity is depicted as a young girl with many arms in statues. Sarju Devi, the mother of the child, is stated to be overjoyed.
Her brother, who has not been identified, told local media that his sister had given birth to a child with 26 fingers, which they believe to be Dholagarh Devi’s incarnation. We are overjoyed.
Gopal Bhattacharya, the baby’s father, is a police policeman in the Central Reserve Police Force and is reportedly overjoyed.
There is no damage of any type in having 26 fingers, but it is a genetic oddity, according to Dr BS Soni, a physician at the hospital where the kid was delivered. Other than that, the girl is in perfect health.
It is unknown at this time whether the family intends to operate on their newborn girl to shorten the number of fingers on each limb.
