”I entrusted $9 Billion to Dauda Lawal, then FBN Executive Director. I Need To Seek Forgiveness From The Nigerian People And President Tinubu”-Diezani
“I served as the petroleum minister during the tenure of Goodluck Jonathan. Currently, I am residing in the UK.
However, I have transformed my life and have embraced the path of a born-again Christian. Unfortunately, I am facing a challenging battle with stage two breast cancer, which requires lifelong medication.
As a minister, I was implicated in misappropriating funds, and I must admit that these allegations are true. I sincerely seek forgiveness from the Nigerian people and President Tinubu. I am yearning to return to Nigeria and openly confess all my wrongdoings.
It is essential to acknowledge that I entrusted a substantial amount, approximately $9 billion, to Dauda Lawal, who was then the Executive Director of First Bank Nigeria PLC.
However, to my dismay, he is now the Governor of Zamfara State and has yet to respond to my calls.
There are even concerns that he might have collaborated with the UK police to put me under surveillance, perhaps to seize the funds I entrusted to him upon my demise.
This complicated situation directly affects my family, including my husband and Nigerian lawyer, who knew of my association with Dauda. I humbly urge them to support me during this time of distress and help facilitate my return to Nigeria so I can disclose everything.
I understand the gravity of my misdeeds and their profound impact on the Nigerian people. I sincerely desire to seek forgiveness, make amends, and take responsibility for my actions.
