Neighbour’s Four Children Abducted by 2-New Female Tenants in Imo Community One Day After Moving In

Four children have been kidnapped in the Amako community, located in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State.

The abducted children, identified as Jemine Divine (4 years old), Jemine Isaiah (2 years old), Ugwuegbu Victor (2 years old), and Ugwuegbu Success (4 years old), were taken by two new female tenants on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

FMT BLOG confirmed according to a source in the community, the children were playing at their home in Amako, along with other children, when the recently arrived women asked them to accompany them to a nearby barbershop to have their hair cut. The women then took the children and never returned.

Of the four abducted children, two belong to Mrs Chinasa, while the other two are the children of her elder sister.

Upon returning from the market, the mother of the children searched for them but couldn’t find them. She immediately went to the police station to report the incident.

The mother mentioned that the women moved into their room on Friday, May 26, 2023, and she is unfamiliar with their names.

Meanwhile, an anonymous resident of the Amako community informed the Nigerian Tribune that the local vigilante group had apprehended the house agent who introduced the women, as well as the landlord. However, both claim to be unaware of the whereabouts of the women.

ASP Henry Okoye, the spokesperson of the State Police Command, confirmed the incident on Friday, June 2, and stated that investigations are currently underway.
