Wizkid Sets New Global Streaming Record
Nigerian music superstar and Grammy Award winner, Wizkid, has reached an incredible milestone in his career. He is now the first African artist to surpass an estimated 20 billion global audio-on-demand streams, a record that shows just how far Afrobeats has traveled across the world.

This major achievement was confirmed by ChartMasters, a well-known platform that tracks music data globally. According to their report, Wizkid’s total streams counting both his solo songs and tracks where he features have gone beyond 20 billion across various music platforms.
One of Wizkid’s most successful appearances is on the international hit “One Dance” by Canadian rapper Drake, which also features British singer Kyla.
The song has become a classic and has collected more than 3.6 billion streams on Spotify alone. In fact, it even earned a Guinness World Record for being the first song ever to cross 1 billion streams on the platform.
