Bad News For Samsung Galaxy S20 Users -Must Read!
Samsung has officially deleted the Galaxy S20 series from the software support page, which is something users will not welcome. The elimination implies that the S20 lineup will no longer receive security updates.
This flagship, which was released in early 2020, is made up of three devices: the S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra. This is where Samsung originally launched the Ultra model in the S-series, which has a lot of features and a high-quality camera.
Samsung has made significant progress in terms of software support for its flagship phones over the last five years. The Galaxy S24 and S25 include seven years of OS and security updates. Unlike this, the Galaxy S20 series only received three OS upgrades and four years of security updates.
These phones were released with Android 10-based One UI 2.1, which is upgradeable to One UI 5.1 (Android 13). So, the device has been stuck on this One UI version since 2023.
However, its prolonged security patch support ensured that the phone was secure.

Last year, the S20 series switched from a monthly to a quarterly timetable, signaling a shift in its software cycle.
Samsung also greeted Galaxy S20 series owners with new software, or should we say the final OTA update. Does this mean that S20 is fully excluded from the update scope?
Similar to previous products, Samsung may deploy crucial optimizations and bug fixes if it has something new for the device or if a severe issue impedes the user experience. However, it may occur on rare occasions rather than on a daily basis.
Meanwhile, the S20 FE and S20 FE 5G are still scheduled for quarterly software updates due to their later debut than the main range. However, some phones may lose support this year.
