Eddie Hearn, a prominent boxing promoter, has hinted at an incredible card worth £323 million.
The proposed event would feature a highly anticipated showdown between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, who were in talks to crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion in two decades, but failed to agree on financial terms.
Deontay Wilder vs Anthony Joshua would also be on the card.Hearn disclosed that Joshua’s next significant fight, scheduled to take place in the Middle East in December, would likely be against Fury or Wilder.
Although it would be a costly endeavor, discussions have already taken place with interested parties who want to host both Fury vs Usyk and Joshua vs Wilder on the same night.
Usyk, who won and retained the IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles off Joshua in back-to-back fights, may have to fight Zhilei Zhang, the mandatory challenger who won the WBO interim title off Joe Joyce. However, Zhang is anticipated to fight Daniel Dubois first.
Wilder’s trainer, Malik Scott, recently stated that the only fight he would be willing to take on would be against Joshua. Scott believes that the potential match is not only good for boxing but also for society as a whole.
He expressed his hope that the fight would take place and said that he is rooting for Wilder every time he is asked about the boxer’s future plans.
