These were disclosed in a statement issued by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.

The statement said that the immediate restoration of flight operations, via the two airlines and between the two nations, does not imply any immediate payment.

The two leaders have also agreed to a framework involving several billions of dollars in fresh investments into the Nigerian economy by the United Arab Emirates’ investment arms across numerous sectors, including defence, agriculture, and others.

“This is in recognition of President Tinubu’s economic development diplomacy drive and proposals made on Monday, September 11th, as Presented by the Nigerian leader, President Tinubu to his counterpart,” the statement continued.

Furthermore, President Tinubu successfully negotiated a new cooperative foreign exchange liquidity initiative between the two governments, the details of which would be disclosed in the coming weeks.

On the other hand, the Nigerian leader praised UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his unwavering friendship and his persistent effort to work with him to normalise and reset the standard of relations between the two nations.
